Catawba Falls
A few pictures and video of Catawba Falls in McDowell County near Old Fort, NC

Catawba Falls is just a few miles drive (one exit west on Interstate 40) from Rivers Ridge Lodge. There is limited parking, and the trail to the falls is marked fairly well. The hike to the falls starts off easy and increases in difficulty to moderate towards the top. Wear hiking shoes and a bathing suit for swimming if the weather is warm. This is a lesser known hike; it is not a spot that tourists flock to. Enjoy!
