My Dad, who sang Al Jolson songs and taught me to sing Patsy Cline and Timi Yuro songs. We grew up with "Sing Along With Mitch" and had a voluminous amount of records, as well as singing with my FABULOUS SISTER DEE DEE HANSON who is an impersonator/singer. I love the area near me.. like Zion, northern Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and the geologic formations, I love hikes in the outdoors when My back isn't hurting. This list would be quite long. It would suffice to say that I sing everything I hear that has an inspiring message, expresses sincere emotion, love songs, heartbreakers. Patsy Cline, Timi Yuro and other soul singers like Billie Holliday and of course the proverbial 'Etta James'. Heck, I grew up on singing with Mitch and my parents had all the albums... plus Broadway musicals, collections from the 30's 40's, 50's... but I had the ultimate 60's, 70's and my kids had the best of 80's and 90's. I like just about everything, but especially something I can dance to..... I sing all of Amy Winehouse songs, Lady Gaga, you name it.. I think there is still a little bit of a rebel in this grandma... I'm most excited to be able to indulge in my favorite vertical hobby.... singing. ~
