I visited in 2006. You could get right down to the bottom then. There were also buildings along the right hand side. Its changed alot even in the last 5 years!

This area has changed even since I visited in 2006. I drove down the road on the northern side to where the jetty used to be. I'm sure there were more buildings on the right hand side on the way to the shore. Also there was a large crane to the left within the shipyards. Good video!

Alot of this road has been resurfaced now, upto 2mins 8secs. Its like a billiard table and puts even our new motorway surfaces to shame.
Beautiful road, went up here in October all the way to the end by the dam.

Fantastic! My lasting memory of these is back in September 1984 at Eastleigh when 45144 Royal Signals worked a stone train from Botley back towards Westbury. Even though I was only 8 at the time, I remember all the fuss it caused with all the spotters seeing an ETH 45 so far from its usual haunts.
