Tremolo (in classical guitar) is the right hand technique.
The thumb play arpeggios and the other fingers (a,m, i, (in french "annulaire", "majeur", "index")) play the melody. so for each notes of the melody you have 3 fingers.

The title of the tune is "Everything Happens to me" (Matt Dennis - Tom Hadair), and Ribot plays this like a tribute to the way Thelonious Monk played ballads (like a lot of standards played by Ribot)
