What is it about the British? They seem to understand and appreciate soul/r&b music waaaay more than us yanks do. I thought this film was awesome. It captures the NY scene of '81: early hip hop and punk scene, underground parties, NY before gentrification, when starving artists could actually afford to live there. It really did seem like a magical time.
