About this user
Getting ready for medical school, I enjoy neuroscience, playing guitar, studying, playing video games (rock band is really addictive), and drinking is a pretty fun thing to do (Not an alcoholic, I'm just saying that a little Jack&Coke goes a long way). I'm a liberal; strong supporter of stem cell research. With advanced genetic engineering, we may successfully be able to treat life-threatening disorders, like Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's disease, by initiating peripotent stem cell-mediated neural reconstruction in damaged regions of the brain. Stem cell research especially helps those who have a genetic propensity for such disorders and who suffer severe cognitive defiencies because of neurodegeneration. This technological breakthrough could potentially save countless lives, and so to have to deal with bureacratic restrictions on stem cell research and similiar studies is absurd.
