About Me:
R'Club currently serves over 3,100 children daily and our programs include:
• Early Learning Academies in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. The early childhood education curriculum emphasizes exciting and fun learning in active environments that stimulate a child's thinking, social skills and physical coordination. We also operate Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten classrooms and Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in our early childhood programs. Prior to implementation of VPK, R'Club maintained a ten year contract as the largest private provider of Pre-Kindergarten services in the county.
• School Age Programs provide safe and supervised before and after-school activities for elementary school children. Our School Age Programs provide structured indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, homework assistance, and tutoring. Most of our School Age programs are located in elementary schools, both public and private.
• Middle School Youth Development Programs provide constructive before and after school activities for youth in sixth through eighth grades. This program grew out of frequent requests from parents and school officials for a program serving the middle school students. Children in this age group have perhaps the most critical need for juvenile crime prevention. Studies show that most juvenile crime occurs after children have been released from school in the afternoon. However, there is a significant lack of after school programs for middle school children. R'Club's program provides age-appropriate activities, vocational and leadership training, community service learning projects, and enrichment clubs, as well as homework assistance and tutoring.
• Exceptional Student Centers serve children and young adults, aged 3 to 22, who have developmental disabilities, including but not limited to, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and hearing or vision impairment. The Centers' curriculum includes a variety of developmental activities, each according to the needs and abilities of the individual child.
• HIPPY is a home instruction school readiness program that helps parents prepare their three, four, and five year old children for success in school and in life. HIPPY helps parents empower themselves as their children's first teacher by giving them the tools, skills and confidence they need to work with their children at home. Parents are provided with a set of carefully developed curriculum, books and materials designed to strengthen their children's cognitive skills, early literacy skills, social/emotional and physical development.
