More than three years ago the DMB Saltworks team began asking Redwood City residents for their ideas for future use of the more than 1,400-acre industrial Saltworks site. The Saltworks Plan responds to the input of over 10,000 local residents.

The plan calls for 50% of the site to be preserved for permanent open space, public recreation, & tidal marsh restoration. The remaining 50% will be transformed into a Transit Oriented Community with a range of housing, schools, parks, neighborhood retail, transit facilities, & unparalleled Bay access.
