When I first started making videos, I was a sophomore in college with anti-social tendencies.
At the time, I didn't have any experience with writing stories, editing videos, or using computer software beyond Microsoft Word. And although those first few videos were rough, they were fueled by the belief that I could use this medium to deeply convey an emotion. It doesn't sound like much, but when you're young, lonely, and confused about life, you don't necessarily want your life to be better, but you just want your pain to be meaningful.
For the past four years, I've used very simple technics to stitch together videos using Photoshop Elements, Microsoft Paint, and Windows Movie Maker. Usually, they were composed of a few hundred picture files that were faded onto each other. And although it was usually a painstaking process, it was always rewarding. From a hobby that was developed by loneliness, I've received dozens comments from viewers who have empathized and related to the videos and stories that I've created.
In a lot of ways, I don't consider the videos that I've created to be my stories, but they're universal stories that others have read and embraced as their own. Even with the older videos, I hope they'll continue to be appreciated and add value into some peoples' lives.
A lot has changed since I started making videos. Recently, I've been using a different animation software, Anime Studio Pro 6. And more importantly, I've graduated college and I'm about to start my new career field that has nothing to do with video editing.
And to be completely honest with you, there's a pretty good chance I won't have as much time to work on videos, but I hope you'll enjoy the ones that I've posted here.
I cannot emphasize how much I've appreciated viewers' support over the years. I'll do my best to continue making videos and writing on my blog, and I would still encourage you to rate, message me, and subscribe because I get elated when these videos get attention.
But if we lose touch, it's been fun.
Thank you for everything.
