Competing my horses in Dressage, Combine Test, Eventing, Hunters and Jumpers. I also like to do Paperchases for fun and training purposes.
About Me:
I wanted to give you a little bit of info on the horses that I ride, so you can know just what I'm dealing with on a daily basis.
Lago, or Gam (as I like to call him):
I got Gam at an auction back in September of 2007. He had some issues with fluid in his abdomen, and some other really scary stuff. He raced about ten times, and was only two and a half years old when I found him. After a half of dozen months of treatment, he recovered fully, and we began our training together. Our first show ever was in October of 2008. We placed fourth in intro level eventing. He is the smartest horse I've ever had the pleasure of riding. I enjoy every second that we spend together. I plan on winning the CCHSA baby green horse hunter series with him.
Bay summer, or just Bay:
Back in August 2008, I was at an auction looking at some horses, when I noticed Bay. He was three and a half years old, skinny, and sickly standing in his gate. I was drawn to something about him. He was trying to bite through the gate at the cows as they ran past. I noticed he had check on his backside, signifying that he was already bought by someone. I wanted to make sure that he didn't get sent out for slaughter. Turns out that Bev from Mid Atlantic Horse Rescue had rescued him, and was I was able to get her to let me adopt him. It took a lot of time to get him at the weight he should have been, and back into riding shape. Bay is now healthy, brave, curious and beautiful. Our first show together was my very first YouTube video (Wellsprings). In 2011 we will do our first series together at fox crossing.
Judge Dana, AKA Booty Cakes:
I was online searching for TB's in April of 2010, and seen a headshot of this cute three year old horse. I contacted the rescue, and told them I wanted to see him. I eventually found he was a hundred and twenty miles away. I rushed down to meet the trainer as fast as I could, and that's when met Booty. He was instantly demanding lots of love and kisses. Booty even showed tons of affection to the trainer's three year old daughter. I knew he was a special horse, and I had to have him on my team. He was a bit spoiled, and this trainer took very good care of him. It was pretty rare too see that when most TB's are just thrown away. I'm happy to say, now he's with me in training learning to be a great show horse, like his brothers
