I was a flight engineer in VP-26 stationed in Brunswick, Maine. These planes are awesome...I do not not think the P-8 will even come close to their performance! Certainly they will not have "time on station' the the P-3's could achieve. And what about the weapon load?? P-3's had a wide variety of...

I first heard this on KSHE-95. And saw them at The Ambassador Theater in St. Louis in 1975. I then saw them in Germany while I was in the Navy and then saw them in Spain a couple of years later. This is probably one of the iconic albums of all time.

Gypsy - As Far As You Can See As Much As You Can Feel 1971
From their 2nd LP "In The Garden" 1971 This was the first of their LP's I purchased, back in the day, it is still my favorite by them. Bill H.
KSHE still plays a lot of Gypsy, but usually on the Sunday morning classic show...which is a shame. This music needs to be heard all the time!

We deployed all over. Lajes had to be the most boring, but cheapest place to deploy.
I wish the Military Channel would do a segment on P-3...
