Queen, Videos for "A Day at the Races"
Official videos, in chronological order. The "A Day at the Races" album was released in 12/76 (UK) and 1/77 (US), the "Somebody to Love" (by Freddie Mercury) single was released in 11/76 (UK/US, b/w "White Man," by Brian May), and the "Tie Your Mother Down" (by Brian May) single was released in 3/77 (UK, b/w "You and I," by John Deacon; US, b/w "Drowse," by Roger Taylor). Notice that the songs were chosen for the singles so as to spread royalties fairly among the bandmembers: Freddie got side A of the album's lead single; Brian, second in the Queen hierarchy, got side B. Then, on the album's follow-up single, Brian gets side A, and side B throws a scrap to each of the other two members by featuring different songs for that single's US and UK releases. That's the kind of thing that strengthens a band.
