I love this list, and everyone has had a major impact on how the bass is percieved and intergrated into modern music. Might I suggest giving Tony Franklin a listen to? He helped me define my own personal style many years ago and definately worth a check-out.

This album was true genius. I've heard remakes/mixes from just about every type of music including country and metal, and they all sounded great! Don't get me wrong, NOTHING beats Devo performing them, but it just shows how much of an impact they have had on modern music. De-volution NOW!

This album and Exit stage left could be argued to be their best work, but that will be for future historians to descide when all their creating is done. @GeddyxFlea It's not that they themselves are metal, they just laid the framework and insperation for just about every metal band that came after, and showed that you can be very successful without radio, awards or mainstream press behind you. (Metallica, you owe Rush lol)
