QTUBE2008QBUS is the special YouTube channel featuring artists who performed at the Q-Tube Festival at the Qbus venue in Leiden, The Netherlands, on Friday the 20th of June 2008.

The Q-Tube Festival was created to provide a musical meeting space for a number of YouTube musicians. Not only did it give them the opportunity to finally meet each other in the real world rather than in the virtual realm of cyberspace, it was also a great occasion for all to give a live performance in the convivial atmosphere of a music club venue.

A handful of semi-acoustic acts played sets of around half an hour each. Appearing on stage were: Jacques Mees, Ron Lindeman with Colin Pichel, Inger Hansen, and Mark Wilderspin with Alex West. Hosting the evening and organising the event were Art & Sieb and members of the local musicians' club L.V.P.

Feel free to browse this channel and get a feel of what you have missed, in case you were not there. The playlists have been compiled by the artists themselves, and more samples of their work can be found in the Favourites box, where we also feature some impressions from similar YouTube events that have inspired us, such as Toobstock in Florida, USA.

June 20 at the Qbus in Leiden was a night to remember, and we all look forward to the next episode in this new YouTube tradition! Where will the next concert be: Amsterdam, Tilburg, Groningen, or Stroud in England ? To be continued...
