Dark templar are very fragile, a single overseer or scan or cannon and a small handful of troops makes them useless. Dark Templars are only effective against noobs that don't know they exist or people that are just stupid.

@Mord12gp They do still get used for harassment a fair amount, but a lot of Terran players play much more defensively so they don't really use them.

Hydras always beat maruaders, they have a much higher attack rate and are good against armoured units, maruaders have slow attacks and suck against unarmoured units, hydras have all sorts of advantages on them.
