I'm not a biologist (or a stamp collector, as we physicists like to call them) but I think you'll find that the cell is derived from a pretty well-understood self-replicating DNA/RNA gloop process, substances which are in turn collections of molecules, which are in turn atomic elements, which are in turn electrons and nucleons, which are in turn charges, which are in turn .... watch this space, cos that's where SCIENCE is AT right now!

I know that the earth is old which is why I'm an old world creationist. While there is proof for evoltuion and I believe in evolution within species, there is great proof for inteligent design. There are systems that are irreducible complex like the cell for one.
