If your activboard has lot of holes in the back its to let the gas from the uncured glue that was used to build them .Thousands of these boards were built eventually these boards will fall apart promethean only sold these boards in the uk and usa

The holes are not holes but threaded brass bolt holes.
This allows new electronics packs and offers locations for adding new features to the Activboard so that the original investment can be maximised. The extras are to allow for expansion packs that have not yet been invented - the board can easily last 12-15 years - and electronics may move on in that time. They show that Promethean has a long term commitment to its users and to reduce TCO in the long term. |
