Dude 555's are sweet! You can use pin 3 as an audio out also. That looks (sort of) like a triangle wave to me. Use a smaller cap between 3 and ground (1u-.1u) for audible frequencies.

Just wanted to say your schematic is all good except i'm pretty sure the 1N4148 between the power and sequencer is drawn backwards. @killkeyboard both the APC and the baby 10 are pretty widely referenced schems. If you want something more serious there ire the Music From Outer Space sequencers. The first page of the schematic is just a more elaborate baby 10.
