About this user
My doctoral training was in experimental psychology, and though I collaborate on a number of projects my own interests are (presently) in how people make judgements and decisions about what information to trust, and in teaching efficacy and how technology affects education. I think about statistics and research for a living, and teach it as often as I can. Statistics is more than just math, and it's more than just a collection of methods to analyze data; statistics provides a way to think about the world in a principled fashion, to interpret the outcomes of events unfolding before us, to see the structure of things amidst the prevailing noise and randomness of our reality.
