The Program to Eliminate Educational Disparities (heretofore known as ProEED) seeks to enhance educational opportunities for students with Special Needs ensuring that truly no Child is Left Behind by training Advocates/ Mentors to assist Students, Parents, Foster parents, Juvenile officers and Key stakeholders to better understand the needs of children with Educational Special Needs. Educational Advocates/Mentors will be trained in research and analysis for better and broader understand of the laws of IDEA, No Child Left Behind, 504 Civil rights, ADA and FERPA and how they impact a Childs ability to access an equal opportunity for quality education that leads to a productive member of society. These Educational Advocates would assist parents/ legal guardians in the process of developing an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and monitoring the process until the parent / guardian is in a position to advocate without the assistance of a trained Advocate.
