About this user

This is Princess Nadira 80. I am a trans woman from California. I am a Mexican-American Trans lady. I have grown up here in California all of my life pretty much. I transitioned in stages after I was forced out of the closet by an unexpected intrusion on my privacy back in 2004. I guess I always knew of my trans status; however, I always attempted to hide it in the best ways that I could. I attempted to suppress my deep feelings with numbness and a cold heart. I am a 1980 model trans am with low miles, clean, and with an automatic transmission. By age 10, I knew that I wasn't a gay boy but rather a trans woman. Sixth grade was a very tough year for me back in the dog days of 1992-1993. I was harassed physically and verbally by my male peers who rejected me. I got into a lot of fights over being called the word "fag." Sporadic fights occured all the way through high school. I won many fights but I did suffer my waterloos. I remember only one kid making fun of me and referring to me as a shemale with his friends. I tried the best to hide what I was, but little details popped up that revealed my feminine side. I liked to wear my hair longer than most of the boys. I liked to shave my legs. I liked taking care of my appearance like any young lady. Well, I hope to talk about some of my trans experiences as a Latina with the great hope of being able to give my hidden trans brothers and sisters out there a different point of view. For those who are questioning, I wish you the best of luck on your journies. I would like to talk about these trans topics to shed light on this aspect of the human condition. What is gender? What is sexuality? In spite of our progress in science and technology, we still live in backward times even here in America. We face discrimination and many obstacles along the way, but I encourage you to move forward. Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life! We were born this way and we all deserve to be treated equally under the law as citizens. We should be able to live and work with dignity.
