About PranavamDanceSchool
Pranavam is the premier school in Topeka, KS for the Indian Classical Dances Bharatha Natyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyatttam and Folk Dances of India. Established on the principles of authenticity and excellence in training, is taught by Anil Karunakaran. Pranavam annually offers its students a recital where all levels present their studies in a professional performance to family and friends. Anil Karunakaran began his initial training in Bharata Natyam and Mohiniyattam at the age of six from Guru Kalamandalam P.Kamalam of Kerala. He also received advanced training in Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi from Kalamandalam Deepa and Kalakshetra Manikuttan of Kerala, one of the best dancers in Bharata Natyam and Kuchipudi. Anil has performed all his school and college curriculum and has been first prize winner in Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi State School and College youth festivals.
