A generous husband and wife were left celebrating this week as Angus knocked on their door and presented them with the lions share of this weeks £25,000 Street Prize!

Bill and Kirsteen Scott play with an amazing three tickets each and described their love of helping local causes as their main reason for signing up to the Peoples Postcode Lottery.

Im a life-long member of SWT, explained Kirsteen when Angus quizzed her on her reasons for registering with the lottery for local charities. The Peoples Postcode Lottery supports such great causes, I couldnt say no!

Kirsteen and Bills generosity was rewarded though, as they each pulled out a cheque for £8,334 resulting in a total of over £16,000 for the EH10 6NZ couple.

My goodness, thats incredible! said Kirsteen with a huge smile on her face. Isnt this wonderful, Bill?

Husband Bill was in full agreement, saying: Thats amazing! I cant even think what Ill spend it on yet!

Thoughtful Kirsteen had an immediate idea though she volunteers for Open Door, a local group that helps elderly and disadvantaged people. The charity needs funds more than ever at the moment so some of her winnings will go towards helping the good cause.

Neighbour Janet Richardson was also left celebrating after scooping £2,778 in this weeks Street Prize.

Thank you very much! gasped a shocked Janet. We were due to go round to the Scotts for a dinner party tonight think well all go out somewhere fancy now!

At that point Angus bade the neighbours farewell, leaving them to decide which upmarket restaurant to choose for the evenings celebrations!
