@blkshepherd Diana Ross was a performer and a celebrity. One of the first true black female to appeal to the masses. There are plenty of soulful and better singers before her and after her. I'm 23 and even I know that. Diana has a beautiful voice, but there were PLENTY of GREAT voices before her.
