Este chamá-lo e tê-lo, erguê-lo e defrontá-lo,
esta fresta de nada aberta ao vazio,
deve ser um intervalo.

About Portugal (for anyone interested)
--we had the first bourgeois revolution in the world (1383; F.Braudel)
--we dicovered America and Australia
--we were the FIRST europeans to discover the maritme way way to Africa, India, China, Japan etc etc etc etc we ruled europe there for a while :DDDDD
--we had the counter reformation, the inquisition, the scolasticism, the jesuitism, etc etc etc
--we had our own XVIII century ray of light with our own portuguese peter the great :DDDD in many ways a visonary and in all cases the temptative saviour of our nation LOL man he made a difference he reconstructed lisbon after the 1755 earthquake, the worst in recorded history :) etc etc etc
--we failed however more or less totally at industrialization and all i mean we were not the third world lol but well we werent geniuses we were ignorant and...well just periferical lol
--then WWI came, and then fascism came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDD
50 years of backwardness, extreme ignorance and omnipresent catholicism :DDDDDDD oh man and the colonies with the enslaved africans, and the hunger and the repression and the isolation (proudly alone was one of the mottos; the belief that democracy was incompatible with our "catholic essence" one of the basic philosofical premises) etc etc etc etc
--and then were we are :DDDDDDDDDD 20 years onto the EU, richer, definetly more well off at every level more educated with many more oportunities for everyone DEMOCRACY peace success etc but well we still have our problems a whole bunch of them in fact from the ridiculous educational level of the population to the unbelievable incompetence or even well just inherent malfunction of our justice system. many of our institutions have huge efficency problems at all levels. there is no "responsabilization" of incompetence, negligence, etc etc etc etc
we keep the fight for a better future and do everything we can to surf the world waves in the most productive way.
we ROCK and were gonna make it cause we have before and the future is coming on is coming on is coming on
