Wenn schon Schublade, dann Rock 'n' Roll. Wenn schon in einer Nische stehen, dann in der Garage. Und wenn schon Alternative, dann mit deutschen Texten. PopJohnPaul will gehört werden - und das kann sich sehen lassen.

Die vier Jungs aus Hannover legen den Arm um Pop- und Garage-Gruppen der Sechziger. Dem Soul geben sie gerne die Hand. PopJohnPauls eigene Idee ist der Raum, in dem sich alles trifft. Die Lieder singt Frontmann Sebastian Heidel auf deutsch. Natürlich, nah und ein wenig trotzig sind die Songs. Das kauft man der Gruppe gerne ab.

Live ist es laut, direkt und ohne Schnörkel. Die Gruppe trifft zielsicher Ohr und Herz. Zeit sich zu bewegen. Die Band fühlt sich wohl auf der Bühne - und das steckt an.

The four boys from Hanover/Germany embrace the pop and garage bands of the sixties. They shake hands with soul. PopJohnPauls very own idea is the space in which everything meets. Frontman Sebastian Heidel sings the songs in German. Their songs come naturally, intimately and a wee bit sassy - but in a very authentic way.

Live, they are loud, direct and with no frills. The band aims straightforward for ears and hearts. Time to move. PopJohnPaul feels good on stage - and this is contagious.
