It is a disease caused by quite a few kinds of bacterial. Streptococcus A (strep throat) is one of them. She is a strong, admirable person...I pray that she somehow makes it through such a devastating disease.

I am very glad you made it through such a scary experience, it must have been truly frightening. I never even knew a disease of this nature existed until recently, and I'm glad I do now. I can only imagine how terrifying it would be to find out about this disease after getting it...
