The contest was founded by a team of young students, passionate about fashion, aspiring to unite their skills to bring to life a unique event -- an international fashion contest.
The contest PODIUM Jeunes Stylistes, founded in 2009, is a project organized by the association of the same name with the ultimate goal of supporting and promoting the creativity and talent of tomorrows designers.
After a casting of 15 designers out of more than 200 candidates, the contestants have 100 days to create two looks inspired by a given theme with one mandatory material that is to be included in the garment. The results will be judged by a panel of professionals at a event in shape of a grand fashion show.
The winner will have the privilege to attend Paris Factory Mode & Design at ESCP Europe, Ecole Superieure de Commerce a Paris, a prestigious Business School in Paris. He/she will also be rewarded with the exhibition of his two outfits in a well-frequented place in Paris. These opportunities are a real boost for the designers to make themselves known to the general public and fashion professionals.
For this years edition of the competition PODIUM Jeunes Stylistes, the team also asked the young designers to create a third look. This third outfit will be the Ready-to-Wear version of the outfits presented to the jury during the show.
The 15 Ready-to-Wear outfits will constitute the first collection PJS to be presented and offered for sale in several multi-brand stores.See More
