Assuming the toilet rarely clogs, what happens when the secondary trap dries out? This will allow sewer gas into the room. Is there some leakage into the overflow to ensure that water remains in the trap?

Is/was this restoration on the TV show?

It doesn't have the original "redhead" cartridge but the Pickering 345-03 update. But then, that's a good thing as long as the tone arm springs (lighter tracking) and amp were modified. Your records will last longer and you can still get new needles. Very nice machine. I wish I could afford one.

This is verrrry interesting. But I wonder why they didn't use a Select-O-Matic mechanism like in their jukeboxes?

? I've never heard of a Jupiter jukebox. Looks like an imitation Seeburg Select-O-Matic.

There is a reversing switch at each end of the carriage, maybe broken or misadjusted. Worse, maybe a tooth is missing from the rack or the clutch gear. I agree with the other poster. Check out the Yahoo group seeburgjukeboxinformationclub, many have trouble with the auto-speed unit. It is geared to play 33s by default, the autospeed changes the line freq to 80Hz to play at 45.

LOL, the verses and chorus we used to sing on the bus had slightly different lyrics (that I wouldn't print on a family-friendly website).
