I love gentlmen Jim but George's version and especially the duet with Tammy in the 70's on this one blows Jim's doors off. Listen to that steel. You don't hear that in Jim's version. Two totally different kind of singers anyway that really can't be compared however I like Georges cut better.

@deziraemiles... It's on an album called "Same Train A Different Time" Merle Haggard sings Jimmie Rodger's. Haggard recorded it in 1967. The Dobro,Fiddle and Steel guitar are "Killer" on it. I could never find it on cd.
