"Bloody Chamber, despite being polluted by squalid, youth-worshipping ageism stinking to high Heavens and moments of sleazy bad taste, was sumptuously written. Dracula by Bram Stoker, Carmilla by J Sheridan Le Fanu, La Morte amoureuse by Theophile Gautier, Phantoms by Ivan Turgenyev, I also enjoy many sequels and variations of Stoker´s literary classic, although only as entertainment - I hate lack of respect these writers show to it. If you feel pure, feminine angels-in-the-house Lucy and Mina implied that strrrong women are sluts, say it! Don´t rewrite it!
