About this user

A show jumper with a generally positive attitude. I'm not a fan of spoiled girls who get made horses handed to them without earning it. I also do not think people who've been handed horses should be automatically considered a "pro" because they had all the training $ can buy so they are "accomplished". Just because a person won the Maclay finals or bought their trainers grand prix horse does NOT mean that they are a professional or even qualified to teach. ABOUT MYSELF: I've worked my butt off and had a job since I was 11 to pay for my horses. I started out with an old spooky Arabian I taught to jump and do tricks, then an OTTB I trained to be an "AA" jumper and rated eventer...and my current Oldenburg and Hanoverian I bought unbroke and now are kid safe and competing at "A" shows. In my late teens/early twenties I did some working student positions in the Midwest, California (summer 07), and Ocala, Florida (2005) before I became an assistant. Now I just train for my own pleasure. Although I have not accomplished a grand prix record as some kids even younger than me, (Hunter Holloway just won a GP at age 12), I realize that being as I have to work my butt off, its going to take me a LOT longer for me to get there, but I know I eventually will. My Oldenburg will be doing 4 foot next summer and I can't wait.
