About this user
The simplicity of me in all of my complexity.
I AM STILL WRITING AND CHANGING: Perfection is something we should all work on.
------
Until the disciples of Jesus received the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity Spirit had not yet descended to the Earth to dwell within true followers of Jesus.
------------------------------
Note:
The first Person of the Trinity is the "Father". The second Person is Jesus. We know that Jesus was born as a man, being a man he had his limitations of a human just we all humans do. Then likewise would not the Holy Spirit be the same?
As Jesus said:
John 14:26 The Advocate, the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name--he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you.
John 15:26,27 The Advocate, the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name--he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you.
John 16:13-14 But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Read all of John 16:8-14.
Jesus said: John 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.
[What are Jesus commandments?]
That was about the Holy Spirit
Now to remind you some of what Jesus Said about what one needs to do to live by Gods Laws.
Jesus said john 14:23 Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. [By the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Jesus. Excerpts: 1 Corinthians 2:14 the Spirit of God & Acts 16:7 and Philippians 1:19 the Spirit of Jesus]
Just some of the Laws of Jesus that He set down from the Father that I live my life by:
Matthew 5:27, 28 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. [Never allow lust to enters one heart]
Matthew 5: 43-48 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same? So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. [Jesus said to love everyone so that you will be perfect like your heavenly father. What is the measure that you use to compare your love to insure that it is the Love that Jesus speaks of?]
Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness. [Excerpt]
Matthew 7:1, 2 Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. [Meaning if you judge you better judge righteously]
Be sure to read all of the Gospels to get the full understanding of it.
