Terraforming Earth

Africa isn't Mars,it's plenty accessible and needs a terraforming rebuild.Sand has been filling lakes and rivers and needs to be removed starting at Namib-Naukluft and dredging out all sand building giant sand bar on ocean rift to the west.Next and more difficult the Makgadikgadi pan salt flats,removing all sand,salt,mud,until rock basin is found.Next the very salty Etosha pan,remove all salt.Erta ale this stuff looks nasty,but it's fertilizer and needs to be continuously separated from water.Area ideal for small geothermal power plant.South Africa mining making a mess there.Rivers and water falls need power dam regulation for year round flow.NO SUPER DUMP,just dump it in a volcano or ocean.Plan for tailings in future.Niger uranium mine soiling water in area,though the size of the pit could hold alot of unwanted sand.Africa a continent that needs as much work as a Mars project. http://twilog.org/ExtraPile http://twitpic.com/photos/ExtraPile
