Producer, Director, Photographer and Cinematographer - George Billard began his career in film after graduating from Boston University's film program. Over the years he has produced and or directed for clients, including Sony, Mobil, Warner Brothers, Kodak, AT&T, Victoria's Secret, Toyota, Merrill Lynch, American General, Panasonic, Care, Warner Lambert, Revlon, and Starwood Hotels

Billard is also a cinematographer and has built a substantial film library that is available for worldwide licensing through Getty Images. To date he has acted as Producer/Director/Cameraman in the U.S., Chile, Peru, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Spain, France, Portugal, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Mongolia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Japan, Iceland, Vietnam, Morocco, French Polynesia, India and Easter Island.

Billard's documentary film, Birdman of JFK, was accepted into the Independent Feature Project, Mill Valley Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and both the Los Angeles and New York Independent Film Festivals; from the latter he received a Best Cinematography award. Birdman went on to become a part of the PBS series Reel New York.

In 2003, Billard co-created the A&E series The Well-Seasoned Traveler. In addition to his work as co-producer/writer, he directed and photographed ten episodes in seven countries. Subjects ranged from the truffles of Provence to sushi in Japan. The Times-Picayune hailed The Well Seasoned Traveler as "chicken soup for the soul."

In 2005, Billard pursued his long-standing interest in international foreign policy at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He was awarded a Master's Degree in Public Administration.

Billard's website, www.planetbillard.com won a Webby in 2007 for Best Personal Website. It had previously been honored with a HOW Design Award in 2001

Billard is a member of the board of Network 20/20, an independent not-for-profit membership organization that helps prepare next-generation leaders in the U.S. to participate meaningfully in public diplomacy and in the creation and execution of policies to promote global public security. In 2006, he represented the group as a guest speaker at the Jeddah Economic Forum in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has contributed towards papers on both Turkey, and Iran where he led a delegation in 2006.

George Billard is currently at work on documentary films for television, internet and theatrical release, as well as a variety of corporate projects. He resides in New York City.
