Avon's making the same mistakes as his muscle here. They almost have the same lines. "We can't wait! What will Avon/the streets think? Forget about Cutty and Slim/Stringer and Slim. What are we gonna look like?" He acted so much smarter when he was being low-key in season 1.

@pandasweater I'll admit Avon and Stringer Bell are much more business-like. They don't have the weird, pathetic ego/control issues Marlo does. But they still killed innocents, like the witnesses in D'angelos case. Letting the stripper OD (actually, making SURE she OD'd) wasn't really business...

@crono916 That's the point. He's usually so careful and methodical about killing people, but he really lost his head here. He tries to be a robot, but some things still get to him.

@kittykj99 That's why Chris is the creepiest of the show's killers. When people say Marlo has the security guard killed for no reason, they really mean for a stupid, petty reason. Marlo wants to kill people. Chris just doesn't seem to care who lives or dies.

@knight7se7en Yeah, but remember Snoop's drive-by in season 3? Hit only one guy with a full clip nearly point-blank, shooting the same way she does here (waving around the gun and all). She had a lot of practice between season 5 and here.

@LOPS666Orange Chris is much more of lieutenant than Monk is. Marlo openly looks to him for advice. Snoop's just cocky and respected. Besides, Monk really was being thick.

Even if they can't read, you have to be a quick study of people to last long. They might not be sophisticated, but when your life depends on this kind of plotting and observation you're going to get good at it or die.

@gauchebag Or maybe Avon was leaning forward. People have been shot almost point blank with buckshot and gotten only scratches, or killed by shot ricocheting around corners. It's thousands of unpredictable little billiard balls bouncing against each other faster than sound.

@ectigers83 Seem to remember walking around thinking he's invulnerable was what got Omar killed. Besides, this didn't stop Chris from going after him in the ambush. He was more worried about his family than himself.
