The snares sound way better farther away. While they might not have the greatest tuning in the lot, I'll bet they sounded great in the stands and projected really well as hyper soprano voices (if you were there, by all means, feel free to contradict!)

Imagine these shows without the colors provided by the front ensemble. While some instruments are questionable--i.e....

@SasquatchGroove No, it's a valid point. It's always a give and take between the excitement factor and the warmup factor. You raise a good point: I just happen to fall on the other side of the divide, it seems.

@MusicisMYlife210 The sooner you learn to ignore non-constructive criticism the better. A tip for everyone else: if you see something wrong, be more specific and try and give some solid advice as to what the person (who's exposed themselves to the inerweb) can do to become better.

@777trogdor777 I mean, there's a little bit of sway. You definitely don't want to overdue it, of course, but there's a natural amount of sway, especially with full foot technique.

That one snare towards the outside (stage left) is getting a lot of lift in his left hand...but it grooves all the same.
