It's a very good adaptation of Stephen King (It's so rare it deserves to be mentionned). The ending, as you state it, is an interesting and quite bold move.

The hardest form of comedy is paradoxically the simplest. Simple observation of our daily routines, verbal tics, manners, attitudes...which is the manifestation of the inherent humour of human life.

Elegant, stylish AND funny. Whereas almost all comedians now (especially black folks...no pun here, but it's a simple observation) do their best to be vulgar, obscene and unfunny. Either that, or the audiance (aka the society as a whole) has shifted gear...

Denis Leary is a very gifted actor. But god did he STEAL that material and made it 10 times less pertinent and just as unfunny...Shameful...

This guy was a truly outstanding comic...No, not comic, a sort of an old medieval "bouffon" who would have escaped the resignation of his peers to bite the hands of the "masters"...a funny critique...The more talented they are, the quicker deaths covets them...

The italian cinema has produced some of the most emotionnaly charged, well crafetd movies of the history of cinema. Fellini, Pasolini...Benigni (though not as talented, still one hell of a fella!). Bravo to the Italian artists!

An incredible piece of cinema...and Spielberg's masterpiece. No doubt!
