About this user
It would appear that everyone wants to make music, just a few months ago there weren't any new local bands on the scene but for some reason the idea of sex, drug and rock n roll has suddenly become more appealing. Everyone and anyone who can play an instrument has been scrambled together in an effort to make something work but mostly falling at the first hurdle. After years of death metal, thrash metal and well ... just more metal we decided to start up a metal band. our original line-up included: Sam : vocals. Matt : bass, vocals. Mike : guitar, lead. Chris : guitar. Ben : drums. but after several hours of Ben fighting with his double bass we decided to keep in touch with the metal genre but possibly explore something a lot more experimental. What to do now? once again we looked at our line up, what else could we do that was more experimental with just guitar, bass and drums? Then it struck us. why not ska? We searched around school and secured some brass and woodwind instrumentalists, which wasn't too hard being as Sam played the sax and was currently plying in the school orchestra, all he needed to do was announce it. we gained a sax, a cornet and a trumpet. Chris on trumpet, Sam on sax and brown on cornet. Sam also had vocals so our choice of song was narrowed down and also mike had to take some of the strain as Chris wasnt always playing the guitar, but so far we have managed and with a final line-up of: Sam : sax, vocals. Matt : bass, vocals. Mike : guitar, lead. Chris : guitar, trumpet. Ben : drums. Brown : cornet. we ventured on into the battle of the upcoming bands and have secured a local gig. you have to start somewhere! ©Hometown
