I understand your point Pipahh but the differentiation of Marriage within the Church and State Sanctioned Marriages or Civil marriages is important because some Civil marriages are held in a courthouse, marriage licensing centre etc no religious buildings or iconography thus the marriage has nothing to do with religion.

I know you don't believe in non Church marriages prefering to call them civil unions because marriage is a holy union between man woman under god. But to me that's just playing semantics because civil unions don't grant spousal priviledges and marital support because they arent truly marriages.

We all have our differences i don't sees why Gay marriage should be denied with all the spousal rights and priviledges of a heterosexual marriage because of a difference of beliefs or etymology, thats my opinion anyway.
