Filipino culture and condition have become so pathetic, that they will look to any aspirin to relieve the pain, instead of getting the right treatment for their disease. They have a lot of problems: they send OFWs to the countries whose nationals they kill; they have a corrupt government (even the current one); their population is growing to catastrophic levels; and yet an outdated church tries to stop nearly any method at population control. High crime, high poverty, high blood... they are unfortunately on the lower end (or even at the lowest end) when compared to their Asian neighbors.

They look to pride to try and lift themselves from the sober mood. They go back to pleasantry addiction, instead of facing the problem squarely and trying to solve it properly. They try to focus on the positive in order to escape the negative. They seek escape by cheering Venus Raj, using the "pwede na yan" mentality to accept the 4th runner-up position. That only shows how weak in character the Filipino culture has made of its people.

Is it considered social ineptness for someone to effusively display "Pinoy pride" at a Journey concert? Perhaps they must backtrack a bit and ask the question -- what was Arnel Pineda back in Pinas prior to his discovery? If he is that good and he is damn good, why wasn't he a superstar? Why was he doing gigs in Hong Kong nightclubs and not in prime time TV shows back in his country? Was he a victim of discrimination because of his rather unpopular rock music genre or his lack of mestizo looks? Was it a case of superstardom from the national to the global stage? A case of accidental discovery?

If Filipinos had pride, then why do the girls here (in the Philippines) scream and beg to be with any foreigner who happens to walk down the street? Why does everyone here offer their niece, daughter, sister, grand daughter, etc., for marriage to a total stranger, so long as he is foreign? Even if the girl is a teenager, and the foreigner is a 200 kilo, 73 year old in a wheelchair? Why do people offer their children for sex, as young as 5?

If the Philippine is so great, then why is it everyone's dream to get out and move to another country? The Philippines is a tiny nation, yet 50,000, FIFTY THOUSAND, migrate to the USA alone, PER YEAR... and that's just one nation. Let alone Australia, UK, Japan, etc., 2,500 Filipinos migrate out of their country - PER DAY. That's over a MILLION per year. If the Philippines is the best place on Earth, why leave?

Filipinos delude themselves into thinking that their country is great, when the fact is, in the world community, it is one of the 10 WORST countries on earth! And it is this denial the keeps them that way. Their false pride and denial of being totally ignorant and stupid and unable to take constructive criticism from the outside keeps them in the current FAILED STATE they have been in for decades.

They call their failed country "great", while criticizing the successful, rich, industrialized countries as stupid. This is hilarious. They are severely deluded. Another comment from a Filipino native: "yeah im proud of my people! why? arent you proud of Charice Pempengco? Nicole of PCD, Vanessa Hudgens and many more? you're acting like that when to think you're just nothing compared to them and yet these people are proud to be a Filipino and/or proud to have a Filipino blood"

So the only thing you have to claim greatness is a few people who can sing? LOL!!!!! You don't need brains to sing well. And I've noticed Filipinos claim their "greatness" on the success of a few people that made it in show business. LOL!!!!!!! Show business and singing is not what makes a nation great. Sorry to break that news to you and pop your balloon. Secondly, you had nothing to do with their show business success, so how can you claim pride in them?

There's lots of American actors and singers WAY MORE POPULAR AND FAMOUS, and nobody walks around saying they made America great. If I was the father of one of those singers, I would be proud of them; if I taught them to sing, I would be proud of them. But when you had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR SUCCESS, how can you claim pride? I'll tell you why: BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO BE PROUD OF.

If you want to be "proud to be a Filipino", then DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE YOUR FAIL STATE STATUS in the world! Do something to change your country INTO SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF!! But you people don't do anything. You just sit back and let your elected officials steal from you, rip you off, and keep fucking you in the ass, and you just take it. You have no balls to stand up to corruption. You have no sense of community and solidarity as a people. When will you idiots learn that you are now a democracy, and the power is in YOUR hands as a collective group. When will you learn to stand together and hold your elected officials accountable? When will you learn to demand an accounting for government funds for a project that was fully funded, yet didn't get completed, and was abandoned? When will you rise up and make your country as great as you are deluded in thinking it is?

You have a choice. You can continue to do nothing and pretending greatness and pride, OR you can organize, stand together as a people, and make a change from FAILED, to PROGRESSIVE, to GREATNESS. The choice is yours. Stop blaming the other guy. Stop waiting for someone else to do something. YOU do something.

(1) For P50, the Filipino's vote can be bought.
(2) For P500, the Filipino can have someone assassinated -- just look at all those murderers loose on motorbikes.
(3) "Tsimays" literally go after White Americans, have themselves impregnated, go to the States, and speak in broken English, thinking that they look like Whites themselves.
(4) Filipinos always ask to be "treated" to lunch or dinner.
(5) Wherever there is free food, you will find a large congregation of Filipinos, especially those from the slum areas.
(6) The Filipino wants to borrow money; if someone refuses, they immediately badmouth the person.
(7) Try collecting debt from someone who owes you, and you will end up either being the "vile" person, or you'll get yourself killed.
(8) Look at all the Filipino shows; their jokes are corny.
(9) Is it a wonder if Filipinos born abroad hides the fact that they come from a Filipino lineage? Lots of them in the U.S.
(10) Filipinos are copycats; cannot get good ideas on their own. Lots of your TV shows are actually copied from either other Asian or American shows.
(11) Filipinos are fond of asking for alms; go to any church and you'll see lots of beggars lining up on the streets.
(12) Filipinos are always embroiled in controversy; remember the Nursing Licensure exams, or whatever that was where the answer was leaked? Shame on you!
(13) Look at Filipino politics! Dynasties abound!
(14) Whenever a male foreigner marries a Filipino woman / maid, can you see her ENTIRE family tagging along, being fed by the foreigner? Poor chap! From the parents, to the aunts, to the 3rd or 4th degree cousins... they all live under one roof... poor foreigner.
(15) Tagalogs hate the Visayans and those from the south, while the Visayans call those from Manila, "imperialists".
(16) Look at your senators and congressmen! TV personality, Loren Legarda; action star, Lito Lapid; and a host of other people who basically don't have half the brains to do their jobs! Heh!
(17) Apo Hiking Society has a song "American Junk". They basically castigated the Americans. Yet they applied for visas to hold a concert in Las Vegas! Goodness, how thick could you get!?
