Piedmont Land Conservancy conducted controlled burns at Price Park in Greensboro, NC on August 20 and 27, 2009. These burns are a first step in converting an open meadow populated with a mix of exotics and native plants to a Piedmont prairie where native grasses and wildflowers will dominate.

The Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the entire Park. This work is part of the Conservancy's responsibilities under the easement. (less info)
