Some advice for those who have requested it:

1. Only play songs that you really like. Duh...right? =)

2. To add more feeling, try listening to the song for a couple of days, and when you get a chance, play your heart out on the piano. It gives your song more emotion I think.

3. Yes loud sounds good, but not in the beginning of a song. From experience, I know starting a song loud or just playing the entire song loud, you will turn off most audiences. Possibly yourself too! Generally, you should save loud parts for your grand ending of the chorus. Right? ;)

4. To get over nervousness of playing the piano in front of a crowd: just simply play the piano wherever you go that has one. For me, I play it when I go to Sam's Club and Costco, but it's kinda embarrassing at Walmart and Target, so i don't play it there. Other than that though, the bigger stores have big pianos out there for people to play so i just go there and play. Here are the benefits:

a) You stop being so nervous if you keep playing in front of people.

b) You get feedback from some people sometimes.

c) You WILL get lots of compliments that will boost your self-concept of piano.
