I have this problem too. For almost two years now. I really wish there was just a solution to grease it or something, even if I had to take it apart every few months I'd be cool with it at this point (It's a 2008 unibody).

@snoooters How did you grease the hinge exactly? Could you post your own video for that? Mine does this and I stripped the laptop apart (separated the screem from the base) and don't see a real way to get at the clutch/black hinge area to actually grease it). Thanks!
