First off lets start with some facts about myself before we go into my hair regimen and goals. I am 17 as of Jan. 19th. I have been on my hair journey for about 1 year and 5 months now, but I usually go by how long I've been taking care of my hair since taking out my micros (august 09). So far my hair journey is going great, even though there has been times when I've wanted to give up and go back to getting perms I am happy that I haven't. Since I was idk I believe 6 or 7 perms have been my LIFE! Lol literally every 3 months or so I would get a perm and it would be wonderful. My hair would be all nice and silky just like everyone elses. From the age of 4-6 my hair has always been down my back but slowly it's started breaking off until it's gotten to the point where I couldn't grow it past SL (shoulder length). But thankfully my friends have encouraged my to go natural and in August of 09 I decided to listen to them. On Feb 5, 2011 after 17 months (1 year 5 months) of transitioning I did my last mini chop and became natural!
