About Me:

Born and raised in the "Big Apple" where big dreams are made of, Brooklyn native Phenom brings a unique point of view along with a versatile skill set to the rap game. Whether it's the spitfire classic style of "They Ask Why" or the radio friendly flare of "Bring it ova Here", Phenom rhymes with an undeniable intelligence and lyricism. As an artist, he can best be described as a natural talent. Along with his compelling back-story, Phenom has not only worked his way up but has grown to become a truly gifted wordsmith as well as a dynamic performer.

As a recent graduate of Howard University Phenom does not fit the typical mode of a Hip Hop emcee. Majoring in International Business and acquiring his BBA with honors from the notable HBCU and haven been given offers from numerous fortune 500 firms Phenom has never lost touch with his love for Hip Hop. In an industry filled with carbon copy rappers and dance crazed entertainers Phenom is a breath of fresh air. His style is comparable to a raw, authentic delivery of an early "50 Cent" with a commercial sound and content appeal of "Kanye West". With his long anticipated mixtape "College Graduate" Phenom plans to make waves as well as restore the voice of Hip Hop away from today's norm.

Hailing from the inner city streets and having grown up around negative environmental factors Phenom is a rare product of his community. Against all odds he has risen and surpass most. He weaves lyrical tales from the perspective of a city kid who's grown into young man with certainly a bright future without ever forgetting where he came from. You can say the streets made him smart, but school made him smarter. Phenom challenges longstanding concepts of the typical Hip-Hop artist and his music defies what many consider "real" Hip-Hop artistry to be. "Real music doesn't have to come out of the inner city gangster lifestyle or a jailhouse," he says. "My music is still real—I'm still an inner city kid who grew up, but I went to school and got a degree."

With a new decade in the midst, Phenom has what it takes to spin hits out of the Hip-Hop music scene. The irony of it as a recent graduate he embraces the fact to be a Hip Hop freshman and earn his stripes. However, he's sure to bring a high level of talent to every aspect of his craft as a promising, rising star. Make sure you follow him on Twitter.com/phenomhiphop and Facebook.com/phenomhiphop
