VIRUS MELT(watch out!)

Friday night I got a program on my computer called virus melt. It said I had viruses and the only way to get rid of em' was to buy there program. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU DO NOT BUY THE PROGRAM!!! I thought it was suspicious because it kinda installed itself on my computer. I scanned with my up to date AVG scanner and it didn't find any viruses. Then I got a new scanner from download .com and it didn't detect anything (this whole time it keeps on shutting down firefox and sending po-ups, which I ignored) and I was like "screw this! This thing is a scam!" So I ignored the pop ups windows(and every body in my family telling me not to mess with it). It kept shutting down firefox but I kept restarting it so that I could get yahoo answers. I typed in my problem in the search bar(yahoo answers can be very useful) and I found someone who had the same problem as me. The answer gave a link to a website that gave me a program and instructions that got rid of virus melt. It doesn't let you uninstall it the usual way so you have to go to the website.

Virus Melt is a clone of the rogue anti-spyware programs called Virus Doctor. Just like Virus Doctor, Virus Melt uses false online advertising, fake scan alerts, and false security alerts on your computer in order to coerce you into buying their program. This variant does introduce a change by installing fake malware files onto your computer. These malware files are used to impersonate real malware infections, but are in reality harmless files. They are only being installed in order for the program to be able to falsely detect them as infections.
