Let YT/Google know how you feel about their New Channel Design which will be forced on users March 1. At minimum Google should provide an option for users to opt out of the new design and continue using the current design.

When comes the fateful date 2012.03.07, I don't know what I'll do.

What is the thought of the new cold and lifeless YouTube channel design doing to me?

My fire is starting to get cold. My enthusiasm about being here is starting to run dry. My creativity will definitely have no more purpose.

Maybe I should be gone altogether?

I don't know why this change has a profound effect on me. It shouldn't have. After all, this is not my website. It is THEIR website that they have been generous enough to let me play on for a while. I can't and must not be emotionally attached to it.

I just feel like a worthless and dispensable Google/YouTube cash making tool.

Should I even make any more videos so that they will entertain viewers for YouTube (despite how incredibly boring my videos are) and so that Google can make more advertisement revenue in exchange for lending me their server space? Yes, Google/YouTube will benefit from rare music tracks I have in my collection that no one has put on here yet.

Am I providing contents to benefit Google while having to endure being a target of hateful homophobes and religious bigots, too?

I am never for subscriber number or view count stats for myself, and there are other means for my creative expression. I am here for friendship and to enjoy things I can do for people. Now that the new channel design will take away the 'friendly atmosphere' and make it impossible for me to advertise my friends' channels through personalized backgrounds, what's the use for my presence?

I can keep up with friends through regular e-mail. I must learn to just watch their videos passively. I must learn to accept being a non-contributing viewer.

My pride in being able to give back to those who have given me joy and entertainment will be wiped away at the installation of the new YouTube channel design.

Google and YouTube are making me re-evaluate my usefulness as a friend. They are making me think, very hard.
