I'm Kaitlyn, a soon-to-be 21 year-old studying Theatre Performance at Middle Tennessee State University. Theatre is my life, my passion, my driving force. When i've performing is when I truly fell confident and happy with the world.
I've been performing since the age of 5, and my first lead role was playing the title role in "Annie" when I was 9. Since then I have been heavily involved in theatre. I was a active member of my high school's theatre club. I have also studied dance for roughly 8 years (ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, and a little tap). I'm trained in Stanislavsky technique. Throughout high school I also worked as an apprentice company member at The Cumberland County Playhouse where I appeared in many shows such as "The Mikado", "Guys and Dolls", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Carousel", and others. Since coming to MTSU i've been involved in the scenes and plays put on by student directors, served as assistant choreographer and dance captain for "Urinetown", performed in the ensemble of "Ragtime", and played Mark's Mom and the Seasons of Love Soloist in "Rent".
I have also become involved with a local theatre called the Murfreesboro Little Theatre where I was a Red Rat Girl in "Jekyll and Hyde" and am now cast as Edith in "The Pirates of Penzance".
I hope to grow as a performer...that is why I have this youtube account. Most of the stuff I put on here is spur of the moment random singing, but I want feedback on it. I love and thrive on critique the can help be grow and learn as a performer. Please feel free to leave constructive criticisms and feedback on my videos. ^.^
