I was born in Seattle and grew up in Bothell where I graduatied from Bothell High. Back then the football team was a laughing joke of the 4A. I have always wanted to be a news photographer for as long as I can remember because I enjoy the current events and love to talk to people. I try and bring compassion to each story I cover for in my heart I know that the stories I cover are not just stories, they are people. I have always thought the camera can change the minds of the world so I try and treat it with respect. A great book that I swear by is called "The burden of visual truth: The role of Photojournalism in Mediating Reality" by Julianne H. Newton.

I understand the role of my job has and the implications it has on viewers. I try my best every day to tell it like it is and tell both sides the best I can. And I can say with my heart, it is not easy but I do my best.
